I Run2Revive for my Grandpa.

In 1998, while driving cross-country, I stopped at the Grand Canyon and hiked down halfway to the North Rim. I was inspired by the grand scale, the spectacular beauty, and the desolation of the trail. Bucket lists weren’t a thing yet, but I knew I had to come back someday to RUN the entire way from South Rim to North Rim and back.

Now more than 20 years later, I’m finally crossing this off my bucket list in conjunction with raising money for a cause I believe in. I am dedicating this run to my mom’s father who died from Alzheimer’s in 2000. My grandpa Walter was always my #1 supporter and believed I could do anything. I’ll be running 47 miles with 11k feet climbing over two days in his memory.

Run2Revive directs all funds to researching a cure for Alzheimer’s and ALS. They believe in the power of running to heal the mind and body and to that end raise money to fund critical research to cure neurodegenerative diseases that affect the mind (Alzheimer’s) and body (ALS). With Run2Revive, I pay my Grand Canyon trip costs so 100% of donations will be given directly to MassGeneral Institute for Neurodegenerative Disease (Lab led by Dr. Brad Hyman) to find a cure for these terrible diseases.

Please consider supporting me on my run and my fundraising by donating any amount to find a cure for these terrible diseases that affect our loved ones.
